Under the artistic direction of N\u00e9stor Fabi\u00e1n Cort\u00e9s Garz\u00f3n, this year\u2019s residency includes two musical groups: the Bremer Barockorchester<\/b> and Los Temperamentos<\/b>. Ensemble New Babylon<\/b> derives its name from the idea of bringing people together from diverse backgrounds through music, in order to discover beauty in the unfamiliar and the new. Playing cornett, shawm, and sackbut, they bring the music of the 15th and 16th centuries into the present. To qualify for a residency, applicants must be professionally active, independent artists residing in Bremen. A compelling application is required, including a description of project ideas or productions. Each project must be performed at the Zentrum f\u00fcr Kunst at least twice during the one-year residency. There are no age limits or additional restrictions.<\/p>

A rotating panel will adjudicate the applications and award the residencies, focusing on diversity, variety, and gender balance.
